Detoxification is the physiological process by which the body is free from toxins. Toxins here mean substances that negatively impact health. It contains all the metals, chemicals, pollution, and artificial foods, which harm the body in any way.
We often take some important precautions to avoid these toxins. But it is not enough just to be careful. Because through water, food, and air, we are constantly exposed to many harmful organisms and pollutants. Therefore, it is not completely correct to say that we will avoid those substances only by taking precautions.
Importance of Detoxification-
Always remember the good things and forget the bad things. This helps to lead a happy life. In the same way, to keep the body healthy, it is also important to remove toxins from the body.
For this, the body needs to be detoxified. The following detoxification functions can naturally cleanse the body-
- Try to give comfort to body parts through fasting.
- Try to stimulate the liver to get the toxins out of the body.
- Take out the toxins through the intestines, kidneys, and skin.
- Improve circulation of blood.
- Keep the body healthy with the necessary nutrients.
Process of Detoxification?
The excretory system performs the major task of detoxifying the body. The skin flushes out toxins through acne and perspiration. Despite this, numerous toxins remain in the body which can be removed by relaxing muscles through fasting and by some natural agents such as blood flow. The body also detoxifies itself round the clock which involves the excretion of toxins by the brain at bedtime.

Methods of detoxification
Drink plenty of water
Water is the best tool for detoxification of the body. Water is required in all the basic functions of the body. It is needed to produce saliva and tears, sweat, and remove waste. Therefore, drink 8-10 glasses of water a day.
Get Vitamin C-
Vitamin-C produces glutathione in the body. Glutathione is a type of liver compound that helps in removing toxins from the body. Therefore, to supply vitamin C to the body, drink one glass of lemonade every day. Also, use lemon and citrus fruits in food.
Eat fiber-rich diet-
Eat brown rice and fresh fruits and vegetables. Be sure to eat excellent detox foods such as beets, cabbage, radish, broccoli, and other types of cabbage. They are high in fiber. Juice and fresh fruit-vegetable juice also help in the detox process.
Adopt whole food-
Our food is the primary source of toxins and chemicals. So eat preservatives and colouring agent-free foods. For this, use unprocessed foods such as unpolished pulses, rice, and other organic varieties of grains.
Increase physical exertion-
Increasing physical activity helps in sweating. This works to flush out the toxins through the skin. Doing physical activity also releases hormones and chemicals in the muscles, which relaxes the body.
Breathe clean-
Breathing in a polluted environment causes pollutants to enter our bodies, which are quite harmful. So always try to keep the surrounding clean and pollution-free. Also, plant green plants around the houses and take care of them.
Besides, mildew, smoke, and microorganisms also make the home air more toxic than outside. Practice breathing exercises to circulate oxygen in the body at a faster rate.
Yoga-
Yoga improves bodily processes and also detoxifies the body parts. It is one of the most prominent methods of detoxification. Therefore, include at least one Yogasana in your daily routine. Yoga affects the body positively. Therefore, one must practise meditation and posture.
